Biden Administration delays vaccination requirement for federal contractors
November 12 | UMA Staff
For the second time in less that two weeks, the Biden Administration has extended the deadline for federal contractors to become fully vaccinated for COVID.The new deadline is January 18, 2022. This means contractors will need to have their final vaccination dose—either their second dose of Pfizer or Moderna, or single dose of Johnson & Johnson—by January 4, 2022.We are advised that passenger carriers approved for Department of Defense contracts are considered “federal contractors”.Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly for the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia declined to block the Administration mandate for federal contractors earlier this week concluding plaintiff’s failed to meet any of the circumstances that allow for the issuance of an injunction. For more information, review the “Guidance for Federal Contractors and Subcontractors.”
